An Orange County man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the physique of his father was discovered contained in the Irvine residence they shared, police mentioned Sunday.
Tyler Shipper, 24, was taken into custody shortly after his father, Bruce Shipper, 69, was discovered lifeless within the residence, in keeping with the Irvine Police Division. It seems the 2 males had been the one residents dwelling within the residence, police mentioned.
A good friend of Bruce Shipper went to the home Saturday after he failed to indicate as much as work, police mentioned. When Tyler Shipper opened the door, he appeared “matted” and wouldn’t let the person inside. The good friend then known as police.
Irvine cops and paramedics had been dispatched to the scene and located the 69-year-old lifeless inside, police mentioned.
“A knife suspected of getting used within the crime was recovered on the scene,” the police division mentioned in an announcement.
Tyler Shipper didn’t look like injured and a motive is beneath investigation.
