At about 7:51 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2022 officers assigned to District D-4 arrested and recovered a loaded firearm within the space of Massachusetts Avenue and Gerald Avenue in Decrease Roxbury. Whereas on patrol, officers noticed a motorized vehicle being operated at a pace larger than affordable with extreme tinted home windows on Massachusetts Avenue and Washington Avenue. Officers initiated a visitors cease of the car within the space of Massachusetts Avenue and Gerald Avenue and spoke with the operator of the car. A passenger within the rear was not sporting a seatbelt and officers requested the passenger for identification. Additional investigation revealed the passenger had energetic warrants out of Quincy District Courtroom for Violations of the Auto Legal guidelines in addition to a warrant out of Cranston, Rhode Island, for Carrying a Firearm.
Officers eliminated the passenger from the motorized vehicle and recovered a loaded Glock 19 from the suspect. Officers arrested Val Postell, 22, of Attleboro, MA. He’s anticipated to be arraigned in Roxbury District Courtroom on fees of Carrying a Firearm with no License, Possession of a Firearm with out an FID card, Possession of a Giant Capability Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm with no License, and Fugitive from Justice.
The operator of the motorized vehicle was cited for rushing and tinted home windows.
