An SPD officer was injured in Belltown on Thursday whereas attempting to arrest a suspect in a narcotics investigation.
At 12:45 AM, officers have been conducting a narcotics operation in response to neighborhood complaints, after they noticed a 34-year-old man promoting medicine at 2nd Avenue and Bell Road.
As officers moved in to arrest the person, he ran from police.
Police caught the person, arrested him, and recovered 6 grams of suspected fentanyl, 2 grams of crack cocaine, and over $2,000 money. One officer sustained a head damage in the course of the arrest.
Officers plan to e book the suspect into the King County Jail.
The officer is in secure situation and is receiving remedy.
