Advocates for the victims and survivors of sexual abuse have launched a marketing campaign to spotlight the quickly approaching one-year lookback window for submitting a lawsuit.
The marketing campaign features a video and a photograph marketing campaign in Instances Sq. that may even run on social media platforms.
The lawsuits are enabled below the Grownup Survivors Act, a measure accepted in Albany earlier this yr that enables for sexual abuse survivors to sue their abuser in courtroom, or the entities which will have enabled the abuse to happen. The measure relies on the Little one Victims Act, which allowed survivors of childhood abuse to file lawsuits.
